Lutex Community Library located in Mukono municipality 50 meters on Kayunga/Bugerere road is housed in a great organized building which houses a total of 1,600 books. It opens from Monday to Saturday starting 7:30am-5:30pm. It is run by friendly staff and Founder, Fred Lukyamuzi Musoke, a determined, skilled and professional vocational trainer. The library is managed by 2 staff and 1 volunteer. “The library is going to grow over time and is a place where you can get all information, you go places because of the library and the information we access” Says Fred Lukyamuzi Musoke, Founder.

During the half hour, he took us over the sections in the library and the enterprise, the sections included the library, electrical dashboard, mechanical and automotive section, Garments and Tailoring section, ICT section and Building and Construction department. Their library was predominantly holding academic and research information resources.

Such visits are important for progress in libraries and organizations, we shared experiences, suggested possible strategies to be adopted for smooth running.

LUTEX ENTERPRISES LIMITED was established in 2002 as a sole proprietor and it was
incorporated in 2009, it has therefore been in business for more than 15 years, with
experienced and qualified staff to serve you better. Our registered Office is located in
Mukono Municipality, 50 meters on Mukono Kayunga-Bugerere road before Patron
Hotel, Mukono district in Uganda.

Our services
Our services range from generator repairs, motorcycle repairs, spare suppliers, Trimmers,
spares, repair and maintenance, mechanical engineering, metal merchants, plumbing,
merchants, skills training, power saws and water pumps. We also do compound
designing and maintenances.
Since 2006, Lutex Enterprises has been training the youth in vocational courses that
include: Motor vehicle mechanic and Catering and cookery. A skill of market
assessment conducted at the start of 2015 which witnessed additional on practical
courses including; Hair Dressing and Cosmetology, Shoes making, Agriculture as
business, Textile Garment Cutting and Design and Welding and metal fabrication were
introduced after realizing that some of the center’s graduates were still in the market
looking for jobs due to limited job opportunities.
